The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall
June 6 – 8, Aviston
Aviston will be hosting this awe-inspiring memorial as a part of their 150th celebration. Take a minute out of the many planned festivities to recognize the sacrifice of Americans who fought for freedom. The event will also include fireworks, a parade, ballgames and much more.
International Horseradish Festival
June 6 – 8, Woodland Park, Collinsville
Since 1987, the International Horseradish Festival has celebrated the multi-faceted and vastly underutilized horseradish and has attracted people from miles around for fun, entertainment, food and drink in the process. Come to the festival for live music, food booths, root toss, root golf, root sacking contests, craft fair, Bloody Mary contest, Little Miss Horseradish Festival Pageant, horseradish recipe contest, children’s area, the annual Horseradish Root Derby and much more.
June 7 – 8, Okawville
This delightful backyard – outdoor picnic festival has entertainment, surrey rides, heritage crafts, vendors, great home-made food, flea market, town wide rummage sales, games for the kids and more!
Route 66 Festival
June 13 – 14, Edwardsville City Park
Bring your family and friends and find fabulous food, local talent, historic displays, fine art, inflatables for the kids, great entertainment and a classic car show and cruise!
June 13 – 14, Highland
Highland’s homecoming is the celebration of their Swiss heritage. The feature event of the Schweizerfest is the spectacular parade held on both Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m. Visitors also enjoy many other activities, rides, entertainment and foods to suit every taste.
Greenville Graffiti Car Show
June 14, Downtown Greenville
This fun car show is open to cars and trucks 1989 and older for judging. Registration is from 9:00 a.m. until noon with the awards given at 3:00 p.m. Actor James Best, who played Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane on “The Dukes of Hazzard” will be this year’s celebrity guest judge.
Also check out the American Farm Heritage Museum in Greenville in town the same day!
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
June 14, Gateway Motor Sports Park, Madison
Gateway Motorsports Park is returning to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule for the first time in three years.
World’s Largest Swimming Lesson
June 20, Splash City Family Waterpark, Collinsville
Join participants at aquatic facilities around the world as we help to set a new Guinness World Record. Tragically, drowning is the second leading cause of accident death for children under 14-years-old. Attend this for the free lesson and to help spread awareness of water safety.

Carlyle Lake Spectacular
June 28, Carlyle
Carlyle Lake will celebrate Independence Day with live music, a sandcastle building contest, volleyball tournament concluding with a wonderful fireworks display. The fireworks will be shot from point 1 and can be viewed by boat or shore in the Dam West and East Recreation Areas.
