Midwest Salute to the Arts Cancels 2020 Event
Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and with guidance of local/state government officials, the Midwest Salute to the Arts Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the 32nd Annual 2020 Midwest Salute to the Arts. The Council along with the City of Fairview Heights felt it was in the best interest of all to safeguard the health and safety of all our artists, vendors, guests, and volunteers.
In lieu of our "on-the-grounds" event, the 32nd Annual 2020 Midwest Salute to the Arts will this year become an “Online Art Fair”. We are super excited to announce that in the weeks to come our website will host a variety of our 2020 featured artist's artwork. There we will honor the fine artwork of our juried artists. The quarantined public will be able to not only view these fine art works in the safety of their own homes but also financially support these talented artists during these difficult times through online purchases. Our goal is to support these fine artists while allowing our many patrons the ability to shop their wonderful works of art.
The Midwest Salute to the Arts is an all-volunteer Non-Profit Organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The years of service to the arts that this myriad of volunteers has provided shall not be dampened. We are already planning the 33rd Annual Midwest Salute to the Arts to take place, on the grounds of beautiful Moody Park, in the HEART of Fairview Heights, Illinois the weekend before Labor Day, August 27-29, 2021.
You can also help support the Arts in Fairview Heights by making a donation @ midwestsalute.com
In the meantime, we wish safety and good health to all. Looking forward to seeing you in person next year for the 33rd Midwest Salute to the Arts!
