The state of Illinois’ tiny travel ambassador visited Downstate Illinois recently to experience all of the sights, sounds, food and everything else that makes our area great. Here are some notes from his travels. Here’s a look at what Mini Abe did during his day in the Washington and Clinton County area. (Click each bullet point for more information on our website!)
• McIllwain Mansion Bed & Breakfast in Okawville.
What Abe Did: • Soaked in a mineral bath at the Original Springs Hotel & Bath in Okawville.
• Went to Rainbow Ranch Petting Zoo in Nashville
• Climbed to the top of the Centralia Carillon and heard the bell.
• Stopped in for a glass (or two…) at Roundhouse Winery in Centralia.
• Took his boat for a spin on Carlyle Lake – the largest manmade lake in the state.
• Abe Grabbed a Double Cheeseburger at Wally’s in Breese
