Each week we highlight a few fun events within southwest, south central and southeast Illinois.  Our region hosts over 900 events each year, and we pride ourselves on providing the most accurate event information so that you don’t miss a thing. Du Quoin State Fair

Du Quion State Fairgrounds, Du Quion, IL

Friday, August 26, 2022 - Monday, September 5, 2022 @ 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

 There will be rides, food, and free entertainment.  The fair will consist of Motor sports, horse and livestock shows, cooking competitions, and a karaoke contest.  Bring the entire family out to DuQuoin Fairgrounds to enjoy this free admission event.

Nashville Farmers Market

Spend your Thursday morning strolling through the Nashville Farmers Market from May - November. 

Highland Thursday Night Live Concert Series

Marshall Farmers Market

Courthouse Square, Marshall, IL

Friday, September 2, 2022 @ 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Marshall will be hosting a weekly Farmers Market downtown around the courthouse square on Friday before their city band concert throughout the summer months. It's a great opportunity to get locally grown produce, plants, flowers, honey, fresh baked goods, candles, dog treats, handmade crafts and so much more!

Songs4Soldiers

Bolm-Schuhkraft Park, Columbia, IL

Friday, September 9, 2022 - Saturday, September 10, 2022 @ Noon - 10 p.m.

Songs4Soldiers is a two day music festival that is hosted in beautiful Columbia, IL. 100% of the proceeds generated from the concert goes to assisting combat veterans and their families all over the midwest. The show features some of southern Illinois best bands and is accompanied by national touring rock n roll and country artist! This is a family friendly event. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of show. Kids under 13 and veterans get in free!

69th Shiloh Homecoming 2022

Enjoy carnival rides, live music, delicious food and drinks. Fireworks display on Friday night (rain date will be Saturday, September 10). Several bands will be performing, including George Portz, Vince K, The Z Band, Cadence Cloggers and Borderline. Come out with your family and enjoy the weekend!

KCT Trail - Road Rally

Kaskaskia Cahokia Trail, Cahokia, IL

Saturday, September 10, 2022 @ 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.

The Kaskaskia Cahokia Trail Coalition is hosting it's 2nd Annual Road Rally! Spend a day traveling the beautiful 60-mile long Kaskaskia Cahokia Trail, exploring 12 historic stops from Cahokia to Historic Prairie du Rocher along the way. Get your card stamped at each location and if you get at least 8 stamps, you will have a chance to win some great prizes!! There will be family friendly activities in Waterloo at the final check-in with live music and a chalk art festival!

BaconFest
