Have an affinity for performing arts? The Clinton County Showcase located in Breese, IL is a non-profit group that offers creative outlets through art, theater, and music, giving you the best entertainment in the area. Founded in 1991, the Showcase promoted throughout the surrounding area but had no permanent home. Realizing they needed a year-round theatre as the demand for their performances grew, in 1996 the Avon Theater in downtown Breese became the Showcase’s home and since then present high-quality productions each year.
The 2017-2018 season is wrapping up with one production, Church Basement Ladies. Church Basement Ladies is a musical company about four distinct elderly ladies that work in the church basement cooking meals for a rural Minnesota church about to undergo changes in 1965. You don’t want to miss out on these generational shows that will entertain and teach you a lesson or two!
Church Basement Ladies will show April 6-8 & 13-15, 2018.
Both productions will be at the Avon Theatre, 525 North 2nd Street, Breese, IL 62230. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm. Sunday Matinee, doors open at 1:30 show starts at 2:00.
