The McKendree MetroRecPlex is a new, full-service, state-of-the-art sports complex. The complex offers two NHL-sized ice rinks, an aquatic center fit with a 10 lane championship swimming pool, a contemporary fitness area and many other amenities. Memberships and daily passes can be purchased for use of the facility and all its features.

The marquee is patterned after the grand marquees of the 1920s, but the audio-visual equipment is state of the art. Three screens run first-run movies.
The 19th-century courthouse has a great view of the town’s hundreds of crab apple, red bud, and cherry trees in season. It is the centerpiece of the Square which is lined with shops, a theatre and restaurants.
The Theatre is housed in what was originally the Greenville Steam Laundry, the Hygienic Ice Company, the Hygienic Dairy and the Ice Cream Company. Today, plays are performed for almost 3,000 patrons each year with a season of up to six plays. Now the sewing machines in the costume shop create colorful dresses, hats and capes rather than work gloves.
Camping, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing and Patriot’s Park are amenities offered at the lake.
Many local and national performances are hosted here throughout the year.

Formerly a private residence, this is now home to an extensive collection of Civil War and WWI memorabilia, Indian artifacts, domestic arts and items from local manufacturers.
The museum features hundreds of sculptural pieces by Richard Bock, best known for his work with architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Hours for the museum are Monday-Friday by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call 618-664-6724
H.J. Long Gymnasium, a 2,000 seat venue, houses varsity volleyball and basketball and the Crum Recreation Center has a terrific gym setup for basketball, tennis or volleyball.

Park has 80 acres of natural habitat along Governor Bond Lake with five miles of horseback riding (north side) and walking trails. Open daily, sunrise to sunset.
