Lawrenceville Teen Center
Delts is a philanthropic and charitable organization so this was a way to help the youth of Lawrence County. Dances are held monthly for the junior high students. The Teen Center provides supervised activities for our county youth. The building is also available to rent for parties for youth, church groups, garage sales, meetings, etc. Lawrenceville offers little for the youth of our area. The Teen Center has games, dance lights, and is just a place to meet with friends.

Located in the heart of Lawrenceville, Illinois, The Barn at New Leaf is a rustic, yet elegant escape from the ordinary event venue! When stepping inside, your eye will immediately be drawn to the 100 year old barn wood, the clear wine bottle chandeliers suspended from the vaulted ceilings and the reclaimed barn beams that were hand-cut and precisely placed. Throughout the Barn, you will notice the tiny nuances and attention to detail that make this such a unique location for your special event. MAD Pig BBQ started right here in Lawrenceville, IL in 2015 by Mark and Debbie Montgomery hence the name “MAD” Pig. Their goal is to provide the highest quality, best tasting BBQ, prepared fresh daily with our original recipes and rubs. We use only dry rubs on our meat, and then we slow smoke our meat. You just can’t rush good BBQ. MAD Pig prides itself on BBQ that is tender, juicy, and flavorful!
Marks passion for cooking goes back many years. He has been serving up his delicious ribs, pulled pork, chicken, etc. to family and friends for decades. Family gatherings led to his creation of the perfect seasoning and his specialty BBQ sauce that is a hit with anyone who tries it! After years of friends and family raving about his delicious BBQ Mark decided to take the plunge and purchase a food trailer with a built in smoker. He quickly learned that his BBQ was going to be a staple in Lawrence County for years to come. After working from the food trailer for the past year and a half Mark and Debbie realized it was time to move inside. Smoking meat in the rain was ok, but serving their customers in the weather wasn’t something they wanted to do. They wanted to be able to offer their famous BBQ year round! That’s when the project began south of Lawrenceville in the old “Winks Filling Station”. It’s been a lot of long hours and hard work but they are excited to open here on September 27th and ready to see where this venture takes them!
Over the last year MAD Pig has served many community events including The Lawrence County Scavenger hunt for 2 years, The Kyle Andrews Memorial ride, The Uncorked Festival, The Lawrence County Fall Festival, The Knox County Watermelon Festival, and more. Their mission is to serve quality BBQ at a fair price and give back to the community which has been so good to them.

Built in 1906 for the Big Four Railroad, the bridge is now a one lane toll bridge ($1). Turn on your headlights to alert oncoming traffic that you’re headed across. Don’t worry if the wooden planks clatter a little, because the view of the Wabash River through the steel framework is totally worth the drive.
We believe in low-pressure trophy whitetail buck hunting, allowing only 4-6 hunters per package. We also believe in total scent control when scouting and setting stands. You have the freedom to scout and place your own stands at a location of your choice.
