The Vandalia Grande Levee as it is today dates back to 1973, but the French most likely brought the Grande Levee to this area when they colonized the Mississippi Valley in the early 1700’s. Ham and Bean Dinner, period craft demonstrations, live music and tours of the Vandalia Statehouse with special visit’s from Chris Vallillo, Brian “Fox” Ellis, Professor Farquar and Miss Polecat Annie and a Lincoln Presentation will take place over this weekend.
