Of all of the sights and sounds of the season, few things can fill the air with holiday cheer like a parade!

Several towns in ILLINOISouth host holiday parades, each with its own creative twist – from live music and dancers to floats and fireworks. Gather the family, bundle up and hit the streets to experience one, or many, of these fun-filled winter activities:
November 29
Santa Claus Parade & Lighting of the Fountain
Come welcome Santa to Belleville for the largest holiday parade in Southern Illinois featuring 100 parade floats, marching bands and dance groups. Then see the Fountain come to Christmas life!

Lighted Christmas Parade
This annual holiday parade culminates with the official lighting of the Downtown Square where musicians, Madrigal singers, carriage rides, hot chocolate, kettle corn and Santa himself await visitors. Parade begins at 6:30 p.m.
November 30
Christmas Parade & Fireworks
The parade begins at 6:00pm and starts by the tracks on North Main and travels to the park. We will welcome Santa, and he will light up the park, before the evening is capped with a fireworks display!

Don’t miss the sights and sounds of Christmas during the Olney Christmas Parade. Santa will be making his grand entrance to Olney.

Sparta Lighted Parade & Holiday Events
The Howell Holiday Hustle is at 5pm. All the activities lead up to the parade at 6pm.

Weihnachtsfest Parade
St. Nicholas arrives in the parade that begins at noon.

Christmas in Carlyle – Parade & Fireworks
The Christmas season kicks off with a parade and fireworks starting at 6:30pm. 618-594-2468
Miracle on Main
The parade will feature floats as well as Santa Claus. Plus enjoy the tree lighting, business open house, caroling and illuminated candle contest.

This year’s lighted Christmas parade’s theme is “Christmas Vacation.”
Santa Comes to Town
Santa will come to town with a parade at 11 a.m., that begins at the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center on 12th and travels North on to the Courthouse Square. Activities around the square follow the parade.
